Waldrop has strong roots in South Carolina. Founded in 1970, in Spartanburg, Waldrop has grown significantly during the past decade, strategically expanding its range of services, as well as its market sectors and geographic footprint. As a result of these positive changes, Waldrop has more than doubled its employee base.

Waldrop has three operating divisions — Waldrop Mechanical Services, which focuses on the commercial, institutional, industrial and healthcare sectors; Waldrop Heating & Air Conditioning, which serves Upstate residential customers; and Waldrop Solar Solutions, which supports both the commercial and residential business units. Waldrop is known for its outstanding safety record and has been recognized with numerous awards for safety, as well as for awards for excellence in construction and customer service.
